How does the couples scavenger hunt work?
The idea for this scavenger hunt is to set it up while your partner is out of the house, or at your house if you and your special someone do not live together. Then when you know they’ll be arriving soon, text them the first clue or call them to let them know they’re about to embark on an adventure and tell them where to find the first clue. (Pin it to the entry door or somewhere obvious.) There is a script in my romantic scavenger hunt kit if you aren’t sure what to do.
There are 18 different locations on the clue cards but I don’t recommend using all of them at once. Print 8-10 clues for a fun experience. You can always save the others for another night. The cards look the best printed on card stock and sealed in eye-catching red or pink envelopes. Alternatively, you can stick the cards to their hiding places with inexpensive love stickers like these. ❤️ The key is to make them to be easy to spot, once your loved one figures out the clue.
Before they get home you’ll have made the bedroom over into a love nest and slipped into something startlingly sexy. Your aphrodisiac will be waiting by your side for a bedroom picnic ready to reward your lover for completing the quest. After all, you are most definitely the greatest reward. How do I print the clue cards?
The scavenger hunt instructions, clue cards and shopping list come as a single pdf document. You will print it as you would any pdf. To print only the clue cards, in the print window, under pages, select to print only pages 7-8. These are the two pages containing the 18 clue cards.
What kind of occasion is good for a romantic scavenger hunt?
This scavenger hunt is designed for couples who know each other well and know their home or each others’ homes intimately. It is a great choice for a Valentine’s Day date, anniversary, birthday surprise or any time you need a fresh date idea but it is not recommended for a first date or relatively new couples.
Can I set up the whole scavenger hunt in one day?
The hunt setup, including hiding the clues, creating the grazing board and setting the scene can be completed in less than an hour. (Don’t forget to think about lighting and music.) There is a little advanced prep like shopping and preparing the clues. But it can all be done in one day, with minimal effort.
Can I use substitutions on the grazing board if I don’t have an ingredient?
All of the foods listed in the grazing board shopping list can be purchased at a local grocer or ordered from Amazon.com. I do suggest substitutions and extra options on the menu whenever possible but if there’s an ingredient on the menu you don’t like, feel free to swap it out for one of your favorite aphrodisiac ingredients.
