Fast & Easy Mojo Sauce

This fast and easy twist on a classic Cuban sauce is a great marinade or dipping sauce for fish, chicken or pork.

Ingredients

  • 1 orange* juice and zest
  • 1 lime juice only
  • 1 lemon juice only
  • 1 shallot finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp fresh cilantro chopped
  • pinch cumin
  • pinch coriander
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Whisk together all ingredients in a bowl. Season with additoinal salt and pepper to taste. (See notes below for a variation with sour oranges.)
  • Use as a marinade or serve as a sauce for grilled chicken, fish, pork or steak. It makes about enough to marinate 6-8 servings of meat.

Notes

*If you are able to find sour oranges, use 3 sour oranges as a substitute for the (sweet) orange, lemon and lime.
