Saffron Fleurtation Luxury Champagne Cocktail

This simple and very aphrodisiac cocktail comes from the cookbook, Fork Me, Spoon Me: the sensual cookbook. It combines the savory scent and golden hue of saffron with the effervescence of Brut Champagne for the easiest cocktail around!

Instructions

  • In a small pan, toast the saffron over medium heat until it just starts to release fragrance, about one minute. (No NOT overcook.)

  • Top with Champagne and toast to the art of flirtation.
  • Drain and repeat.

Notes

The recipe was created to use vintage Champagne but if your budget doesn't allow for that indulgence, use a premium Brut sparkling wine instead. See my notes on picking the right sparkling wine for this Champagne cocktail in the introduction.
