A Super Bowl Cocktail for a Crowd
Batch cocktails for entertaining
Batch drinks make a solid choice for a party. And for a Super Bowl cocktail, there’s really no other way to go, except beer, of course. Batching cocktails simply means you make a whole lot of a cocktail at once then chill it down and have it ready for your occasion. It’s a great plan for entertaining. But not all cocktails can be made in batches.
Now you might be wondering why you should serve cocktails at all on Super Bowl Sunday since everyone drink beer. You would be correct in your assumption that beer is the drink of choice. In fact, it’s estimated that Americans drink over 325 million gallons of beer on Super Bowl Sunday. It’s clearly time for someone to buck this trend. And that someone should be you.
Make this Super Bowl cocktail up to a day in advance
One of the reasons we like this recipe for a Super Bowl cocktail is that it can be made as much as 24 hours in advance. You will need a little special equipment, however. And by special equipment, we simply mean a pitcher or Mason jar large enough to hold the whole batch. (Be sure to cover your container before refrigerating.)
Spice up your Super Bowl with some aphrodisiac ingredients
Most people think you need to save those aphrodisiac ingredients for romantic occasions like Valentine’s Day. But we think pretty much any occasion is right for a little romance.
And in fact, that is one of the reasons we chose to feature this Super Bowl cocktail. It’s not only a practical recipe for a party cocktail but it’s one with some flavors of love. Its main ingredients are spiced rum and, Licor 43, a citrusy spirit with the aromatic aphrodisiac of vanilla and a blend of aphrodisiac herbs. We think it offers to turn Super Bowl Sunday into a night of love. Now, aren’t you glad you didn’t serve beer?
