Start dreaming of rosé season
If you find yourself longing for shorts weather and a glass of pink wine beaded with condensation, then listen up. June is not far away and with the turn of three calendar pages you will be settled comfortably into rosé season. But why kick off the season when wine bottles go from red and pricy to pink and cheap at home when you can do it in the Napa Valley? And tickets are on sale now for the third annual RoséFest, a rosé wine festival at Sterling Vineyards.
Where to celebrate rosé
If you don’t already have plans for the second Saturday in June, then you should seriously consider heading to the northern end of the Napa Valley to celebrate the coming of rosé season with the happy residents of Calistoga. This rosé wine festival will bring together some of the Bay Area’s most buzz-worthy chefs with Napa’s rosé producers and good folk like you, looking to sip your way through a warm Saturday in America’s most iconic wine region.
Winery participants will include Napa brands like Stag’s Leap, Swanson, Peju and Clos Pegase. Participation will also come from neighboring Sonoma with wineries like Chateau St. Jean and Cartograph.
The event takes place on June 8, 2019 on the grounds of Sterling Vineyards from 12-4pm. And since a RoséFest and driving don’t mix, there will be a designated ride share drop off area. There are three levels of tickets to the rosé wine festival, including a VIP that gains you early access to the event. There will be live music and–I can only assume–dancing all afternoon. A premium level ticket will get you a souvenir Riedel rosé stem. And the aforementioned VIP ticket will include just about anything your heart desires except a pair of rosé colored glasses. You can find additional information and order your tickets through the Sterling Vineyards website.
