Pairing Napa Valley wines and Wine Chips
Calling it their, “Salt & Acid Pairing,” Shadowbox welcomes visitors to experience five of their wines paired with three chips from the Californian company Wine Chips. The wines include a rosé, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, red blend and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The chips and wine experience
The lattice-cut chips served are fun flavors including Hawaiian Red Sea Salt, Smoked Gouda and Dry-Aged Rib Eye. To cater to current hygiene standards, each chip comes in sealed, single-serve container.
The tasting is a guided pairing. Groups are limited to six guests. No more than two groups of two will be served at any time. However, the winery also offers self guided potato chip and wine pairing experiences outdoors in the “parklet” adjacent to their tasting room in downtown Napa.
The winery is closed Wednesdays but offers tasting appointments between 10:30am and 7pm, Thursday through Tuesday. The pairing experience is priced at $55 per guest. Reservations can be made by calling or texting 707.738.0386.
The wine tasting experiences at this boutique winery are by reservation and must be booked in advance. But if you can’t make it to the Napa Valley for wine tasting right now, you can always recreate the experience at home.
