Finding love one wine bottle at a time
Every single girl who knows what it feels like to be dumped, scorned, played or simply ignored needs to get a great big stash of chocolate, a bottle of good wine and curl up with The Exes in My iPod this weekend.
This Wine Country version of chick lit was is written by publicist/former wine writer and editor, and now author Lisa M. Mattson. Full disclosure: Mattson was one of my editors when I contributed to the glossy wine magazine, The Wine News. But that doesn’t stop me from objectively reviewing–and loving Lisa’s novel.
The Exes in My iPod is the story of one young woman’s journey of self discovery as told through her iPod list–and a whole lot of wine. In the end, the author discovers that it isn’t so much men as a love affair with California’s Wine Country that brings her the true happiness.
But then, when you think about it, perhaps author Lisa M. Mattson’s discovery is really a universal truth. There are few romantic relationships that beat a good bottle of wine and an iPod full of great music.
