Warm up your lover with one of my favorite tequila drinks
Because this tequila cocktail uses fresh fruits and fresh ginger, it takes a little more elbow grease than it would to just throw a few ingredients into a martini shaker. But if you’re trying to speak a love language, putting time and effort into crafting this tequila drink might score you some points. And you’re bound to appreciate how the addition of (aphrodisiac) fresh ginger warms your lover up from the inside out. Anyway, once you taste the flavors of the freshly muddled star fruit, kiwi and lime, you’ll be glad you put in the effort.
A tequila based cocktail featuring fresh, tropical fruit
When you think of drinks made with tequila, the first thing that probably comes to mind is a margarita. (Or maybe you’re a paloma fan.) And while this recipe bears some resemblance to both of those drinks, (obviously citrus fruits are good tequila mixers), this drink has the added complexity of additional tropical fruits including star fruit and pineapple.

Use organic fruit with this tequila recipe
One quick note on choosing fruits. Even if you don’t normally buy organic fruits, there’s an important reason to consider it for this cocktail recipe. It’s because you’re muddling the fruits with the skins still on. The skin of a fruit acts as something of a pesticide barrier and thicker skins largely keeping it from the flesh of fruit. But when you use the skin as well as the flesh of a fruit, you don’t have that protection. And pesticide residue can resist normal washing. Since that isn’t something you want to be muddling into your drink, I say go organic. Cheers!
