My favorite synonym for honey is Nectar of the Gods. Creamy and viscous, honey is undeniably aphrodisiac in texture. But it also offers nutrition to support sexual health. Honey is, in my estimation, a nearly perfect food. What is creamed honey?

Creamed honey, also called spun honey or whipped honey, is honey that’s been processed in a special way to ensure it retains a creamy, spreadable texture. Creaming honey promotes the formation of small honey crystals while preventing larger ones, the kind that often form as your honey gets old and gives it a bit of a chunky or gritty texture. Although creamed honey can be used in baking or even to sweeten tea, it is a thick, ultra creamy form of honey best used, in my opinion, for spreading.

That’s because, while all honey is sexy in its sticky, sweet viscosity, whipped honey has a texture that’s in another league. Creaming the honey transforms the liquid gold into a velvety, thick, smooth as butter sweetener.
