Karl Lagerfeld Christmas Tree at Claridge's

Claridge’s Karl Lagerfeld Christmas Tree–the sexiest tree of the year?

Is the tree your cup of tea?

Do you happen to be passing through London during the 2017 Holiday season? If you are, then you should plan a stop at Claridge’s for a chance to ogle famed fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld’s idea of seasonal decor. It is certainly chic and unique. But is the Lagerfeld tree your cup of tea?

The centerpiece of the hotel’s lobby this Christmas is Lagerfeld’s inverted, candle-lit masterpiece. The designer used the traditional Holiday showpiece to take the place of the hotel’s famous central chandelier. As I mentioned, the sixteen foot tall tree is inverted. It’s topped with silver gilded roots and a mirrored star reflecting the hotel’s deco style. The tree itself is meticulously decorated with handcrafted snowflakes and sexy silver feathers.

The unusual choice for Holiday decor is enhanced by a series of inverted spruce placed around the hotel lobby.

Love it or hate it, the Karl Lagerfeld Christmas Tree is sure to be one of London’s greatest sensations of the season. (I, for one, love it…and I’m also a little scared by it!)

About the hotel

Claridge’s is considered an emblem of grand, English style. One of London’s finest hotels, it is conveniently located in the heart of the Mayfair district in the West End. The art deco-designed hotel boasts a Michelin-starred restaurant. The Claridge’s bar is famed for its opulent style and attentive service. The Foyer’s afternoon tea is one of the most popular tea services in the city. For reservations and more information, visit the hotel’s website.
