Claridge’s Karl Lagerfeld Christmas Tree
Is the tree your cup of tea?
Do you happen to be passing through London during the 2017 Holiday season? If you are, then you should plan a stop at Claridge’s for a chance to ogle famed fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld’s vision for seasonal decor.
The opulently decked out luxury hotel lobby is certainly chic and unique. But is the Lagerfeld tree your cup of tea?
The sexy Christmas tree
The centerpiece of this Forbes five-star hotel’s lobby this Christmas is Lagerfeld’s inverted, candle-lit masterpiece.
The designer used the traditional Holiday showpiece to take the place of the hotel’s famous central chandelier. The design is sensual, daring and definitely in the design extreme.
As I mentioned, the sixteen foot tall tree is inverted. It’s topped with silver gilded roots and a mirrored star reflecting the hotel’s art deco style. The tree itself is meticulously decorated with handcrafted snowflakes and sexy silver feathers.
The unusual choice for Holiday decor is enhanced by a series of inverted spruce placed around the hotel lobby.
Love it or hate it, the Karl Lagerfeld’s take on Christmas tree design is sure to be one of London’s greatest sensations of the season. (I, for one, love it…and I’m also a little scared by it!)
