walk the plank to spice up your grill

Hardwood plank grilling is an age-old technique. But it recently received a modern upgrade thanks to Afire, Inc. Earlier this year, the company released a line of four aromatic grilling planks made from all-natural, sustainably-harvested woods. The planks come in Sugar Maple, Northern Cedar, Black Cherry and Golden Alder, all of which lend a distinctive–yet subtle–smokey sweetness. We especially enjoyed cedar plank grilled wild salmon with a squeeze of citrus and fresh dill. Black cherry works well with steaks and maple is brilliant for smoking cheeses.
