new trends in aphrodisiac foods at the fancy food show 2007

natural aphrodisiac foods

Each winter, some of the best and brightest in the gourmet food biz gather in the football field-sized showrooms of San Francisco’s Moscone Center to showcase their wares. In search of the hottest new aphrodisiacs, I sacrificed my figure to sample hundreds of cookies, chocolates, coffees, syrups. Here’s what went down:

Hi Ball Energy http://www.hiballer.com
Caffeinated sparkling water in orange, berry and grapefruit flavors – the aphrodisiac of adrenalin never tasted so good!

Erin Baker’s Chocolate Chunk Granola http://www.bbcookies.com/
It’s organic, it’s granola, it’s chocolate for breakfast… what’s not to love?

Good Wives Hors D’Oeuvres http://www.goodwives.com
If you like entertaining but have no time, these fab frozen goodies are a must for your freezer. With flavors like fig and goat cheese flatbread, mushroom profiteroles, and lobster filo triangles, they may be just the thing for a party for two.

Sonoma Strawberry Vanilla Syrup http://www.sonomasyrup.com
This highly aphrodisiac, not to mention addictive, breakfast syrup will bring sexy back to your pancakes, waffles or granola.

Pizza Romana Black Truffle Pizza http://www.divinepasta.com
Frozen pizza with black truffles? Oh yeah.

Torani Pure Flavor http://www.torani.com
The crew who made hazelnut lattes, cinnamon vanilla cappucinos, and vanilla chai everyday flavors now brings us these new liquid flavor extracts in easy pour bottles. My faves would have to be the lemon vebena, garden mint and red-hot ancho chile.

Robert Lambert’s Deep Dark Chocolate Sauce http://www.robertlambert.com
Liquid pleasure, pure, chocolatey, liquid pleasure…
