Romance waits around every corner on the exotic island of Bali. A perfect example – Spa on the Rocks located amidst the crashing waves of Jimbaran Bay. Part of The Ritz-Carlton Bali Resort & Spa, these two treatment villas are an extension of the resort’s award-winning Thalasso Spa. 

Guests visiting Spa on the Rocks descend a set of stairs from the cliff’s edge onto a bridged walkway leading to a rock outcropping in the Indian Ocean. Two specialized treatments are offered thrice daily in the villas. My pick -- the two and a half hour Diamond Miracle. The treatment begins with a foot soak and massage and leads into a body scrub that precedes time spent soaking in a tub filled with 500 freshly picked red-rose petals. A massage using oils with silk and pearl elements follows and concludes with a facial that incorporates pure diamond dust. At treatment end, spa-goers relax and toast the spectacular view with Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Champagne and strawberries.
