Depending on the flick, movie night can be a great way to catch up with friends or the precursor to some hot lovin'. Whatever your designs, the party plan we created in collaboration with caterer Lulu Powers for her recent guest spot on the Sharon Osbourne Show will definitely cook up the right tone.

Inspired by the classic design of great American movie houses, we've turned cinema food into a kaleidoscope of color. Fill clear jars and vases with movie theatre treats: Milk Duds; gummy bears; Hot Tamales; Skittles, Lemon Heads. Add tall glasses filled with a combo of Red Vines and streams of gold ribbon.

On a champagne or other neutral covered tablecloth, lay out all the food like a toddler's birthday party buffet.

Put the lights on a dimmer or keep the buffet in a different room from the screening for the authentic cinema experience. If you really want to do it right, rent a big screen TV and hook up some surround sound.

Spread the Word
For invitations, print out giant admission tickets with the 411. (You can even add a stub to be returned as an RSVP.)

Small Favors
Instead of party favors, give each guest a little popcorn tub to load up on goodies for snacking during the picture and on the trip home.
